Thurs. Twenty.

thurs. twenty. (2007, 1:28 min, 33.9 MB)
*flash version
This short is directly tied to the last daily that I made on May 1st of 2007. They both have segments of my Grandmother’s High School English book being read and they both share a similar cutting and shooting style. The text is pulled strait from the book with no additions or subtractions. What you are hearing is actually a group of sentances that the student is supposed to classify as a statement, command, question or emotion. The book was published in 1939 (and has my grandfather’s name written on the spine!). Word for word:
Practice One.
Classify the following sentences according to thought:
How strange that you do not understand!
What an extraordinary person you are!
There is no doubt that we shall undertake the work.
Why do you ask?
Yes, you may trust me; I shall do my best.
Even though the style is good, do you not see that the work is without value?
Please step over there and wait for your turn.
Go to New York by boat; then take the first through train.
How I wish I could go!
Which one do you prefer?
If you do not hurry, we shall be late.
What a terrible experience you must have had.
